I definitely need to lose weight before my wedding in October. I`m 5 ft 2 in and 139 lb. I know i`m overweight and should lose about 18-20 lb. How do find out how many calories I need to eat daily? I want to start a workout program too. I want to start with a 20 minutes walk in the morning and 5-10 min of jogging in the evening. Is it enough? Thanks.

You can enter your target weight, and the web site calculates how many calories you should eat every day to reach that weight. The site is free, you just need to sign up as a member.. They also have a diet and workout planner that shows you how many calories you burn when you exercise, and how many you eat with your meals. That`s how you can find out if you exercise enough. Im sure that could be enough if you stick to the plan…
but try througing in a few crunchs here and there to really give your body a boost…I would suggest swimming over all to make it fun for you and good for your body..
just dont over work youself!

it’s july you need a trainer not a walk. you need to lift weights. and you definitely need to be eating 5-6 healthy meals a day. oxygen magazine is a good place to start. and there is a book called buff brides. check it out.

i use sparkpeople.com. there are exercise videos and calories calculators on there. it helps you figure out how many calories you need to reach your goal by a certain time. best wishes.

Skip the jogging if you can do 5 – 10 mins. Instead brisk walk for an hour. You will do better.
Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and be active , you will not have problem losing some weight.
I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
