The school play I am in starts this week and I need to lose some weight to fit into my costumes (five pounds would be fantastic). What is the best way to lose weight fast for this purpose? Even if some solutions may be unhealthy, keep in mind that I will only be doing this for a short period of time, after which I will return to healthy eating habits.
Lose Weight in 24 Hours:
1) Go to a steam room or a sauna. Going to a sauna will allow you to drop a lot of water weight in a very short time. You are basically sweating the weight off. Although, this is not a permanent solution to losing weight, but it will allow you to lose some weight in a relatively short period of time.
2) Make sure to drink liquids that have caffeine in them. Drinks such as tea or coffee have caffeine in them. The caffeine acts like a diuretic and will help you to get rid of any excess water that might cause you to feel bloated. Also, important is not to eat anything with salt during the day you need to lose weight. The salt in the food will make you retain water, so try avoiding salty foods during this time.
3) Eat vegetables and fruits. During the 24 hours that you want to lose weight, be sure to be eating a lot of vegetables and fruits. The veggies and fruits will make you feel full. You can eat carrots and apples. Also eating raw cabbage is good to eat. You could also eat hard boiled eggs, milk, and yogurt will help you in losing weight.
4) A great idea also is that if you live in a city that offers, "slimming wraps", you could go and get one of those done. This process will allow you to lose a lot of inches in a very short time. Some of these places say that you will not gain the inches back, unless you put the weight back on by eating unhealthy or lack of exercise.

When I was involved in wrestling I lost weight quite easily on the short term by simply eating only plain salads, fruits and vegetables, and cutting out all juices and soft drinks. Losing weight is all about burning more calories than you intake. Exercise is also huge. If you can bear intense exercise for the time before your play it would be a good idea as well and only help you out.

Eat six small meals a day (speeds up the metabolism). Make sure they’re high protein\low carb. Drink nothing but water, and you will see a difference.

well, you can eat a lot more less, but try eating breakfast at least. and start exercising.
when i tried to lose a couple of pounds for the first time, i would fast at times; not eating for 2 days, then eat a little bit, then fast again. i lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks doing that. but i never stopped, i became addicted and developed a fear of gaining weight.
"i’ll go back to eating normal." that’s what everyone says, but that’s not the case. fasting is dangerous and could set you up for a life-long battle with eating disorders. i know i have fallen victim for it.
maybe you could just eat healthier and in smaller portions AND exercise. the best of luck to you.
