How do you lose weight fast for a short period of time?

The school play I am in starts this week and I need to lose some weight to fit into my costumes (five pounds would be fantastic). What is the best way to lose weight fast for this purpose? Even if some solutions may be unhealthy, keep in mind that I will only be doing this for a short period of time, after which I will return to healthy eating habits.
Lose Weight in 24 Hours:
1) Go to a steam room or a sauna. Going to a sauna will allow you to drop a lot of water weight in a very short time. You are basically sweating the weight off. Although, this is not a permanent solution to losing weight, but it will allow you to lose some weight in a relatively short period of time.
2) Make sure to drink liquids that have caffeine in them. Drinks such as tea or coffee have caffeine in them. The caffeine acts like a diuretic and will help you to get rid of any excess water that might cause you to feel bloated. Also, important is not to eat anything with salt during the day you need to lose weight. The salt in the food will make you retain water, so try avoiding salty foods during this time.
3) Eat vegetables and fruits. During the 24 hours that you want to lose weight, be sure to be eating a lot of vegetables and fruits. The veggies and fruits will make you feel full. You can eat carrots and apples. Also eating raw cabbage is good to eat. You could also eat hard boiled eggs, milk, and yogurt will help you in losing weight.
4) A great idea also is that if you live in a city that offers, "slimming wraps", you could go and get one of those done. This process will allow you to lose a lot of inches in a very short time. Some of these places say that you will not gain the inches back, unless you put the weight back on by eating unhealthy or lack of exercise.

About 4 months ago i decided to go on a diet. I have been exercising pretty much every second i get and i have cut food way down. But, over thoughs 3 months iv only lost 10 pounds. They say people who are young can lose weight really fast. Well, what the hell is wrong with me and why cant i lose weight fast enough. Im doing all the right things, or at least i think so. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight. Low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt, known as a dieting plateau. You can never get slim by starving yourself. A healthy weight loss program is one, which does not make you lose weight in such a manner that your health is spoiled. Starvation is not a worthy way to lose weight because most people will fail to abide to the program rules after a certain period.
If you begin eating 2,500 calories per day then your metabolism will adjust itself so that your body begins burning 2,500 calories per day. If you try to starve yourself by suddenly eating 1,000 calories per day then your metabolism will again ADJUST ITSELF so that your body begins to burn only 1,000 calories per day. That's why you have failed in your past dieting attempts, that's why you always seem to fail when you try and starve yourself.
